JARDINE '8' INTERIOR TENANT FINISHES
Kansas State University - Manhattan, Kansas
13,500 Square Feet
Jardine Building 8 is the landmark building for the redevelopment project and served as the basis for K-State Housing & Dining Services logo. The building is multi-use; apartments on floors two and three, and reception, office and classroom space on the first floor. A five-story tower serves as lobby, meeting, and conference space.
Ebert Mayo provided interior design services for the first floor spaces, and the entire tower interior. Traditionally designed, the interiors include many custom features including porcelain tiles and woodwork styled as the Kansas state flower. Large pendant light fixtures and door hardware were also custom designed to fit the very high spaces, up to 53 feet above floor level. Detailed wood wainscots and custom metal balustrades highlight a grand staircase connecting the fourth and fifth floors.
